The 85th meeting between Concord and A.L. Brown was a tale of two halves.
The Spiders controlled the first half en route to a 20-7 halftime lead.
On their second possession the Spiders marched 80 yards and took a 7-0 lead when a scrambling Keenan Black found Drew Yoos for a 25 yard touchdown catch and run. Marisa James added the extra point, becoming the first female player to score a point for Concord football.
Early in the second quarter with the Wonders driving, the Spider defense forced a fumble. Spider junior lineman Dez Scott recovered near the Spider 28 yard line.
On the ensuing drive Concord jumped out to a 14-0 lead on Black’s 4 yard touchdown run.
