Concord continued their strong play as they beat Piedmont 35-9 at Piedmont Stadium Friday night.

Lance Lewis had an interception return for a touchdown. Roger Smith had two rushing touchdowns and 100+ yards on 15 carries. Jimmy Drye added a touchdown reception from QB Dee Bost. Bost finished the night 12-19 for 219 yards with 1 TD and 2 INTS.

The defense turned in another strong performance holding the Panthers to one touchdown for the game. Calvin Hillie led all defenders with 9 solo tackles. Hillie and Mike Moore both recorded a sack. The Spiders forced turnovers on Matt Josey's fumble recovery and Delano Johnson's interception deep in Piedmont territory.

Concord returns to action this Friday in a key SPC contest against Sun Valley.
