Concord defeated Parkwood 7-0 in a game that was played on Saturday night due to inclement weather.

Concord's lone score came in the 1st quarter as Sean Willix connected with Jacquise Moore on a 20 yard touchdown pass. Brandon Barnhart's extra point was good to put the Spiders ahead 7-0.

The Spider offense continued to move the ball thoughout the game but could not capitalize on several trips in the red zone. Roger Smith had 130 yards on 24 carries. Smith's effort puts him over the 1500 yard mark for the season. Fullback Bam Phillips (pictured) carried 11 times for 60 yards. 

The Spider defense dominated the Rebels offense. Parkwood finished with less than 50 total yards for the game. Jimmy Drye added a key fumble recovery to preserve the win for Concord. Norman Young led all defenders with 5 tackles.

With the win Concord stays in a first place tie for the SPC lead with Kannapolis and Anson. The Annual Battle for the Bell will decide the SPC championship.
