drye_ng North Gaston relied on the duo of running back Princeton Brooks and quarterback A.J. Blue to defeat Concord 55-14 Friday night at North Gaston.

The Wildcats wasted no time getting started as Brooks ran 84 yards on North Gaston's first offensive play for a touchdown. A Spider turnover setup the Wildcats and they struck again quickly. By the end of the first quarter North Gaston had jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back. The duo of Brooks and Blue would rush for over 300 yards on the night.

Spider receiver Jimmy Drye (pictured) would add 5 receptions for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns. Roger Smith rushed for 65 yards, giving him 1597 yards for the year.

Seniors Nathaniel Sedergren and Norman Young  combined for 17 tackles to lead the Spider defense. Sean Cobb also recovered a Wildcat fumble.

North Gaston will advance to play West Rowan next Friday. Concord finishes the season at 6-5. Good luck to the graduating seniors!
