After a few punts back and forth Sun Valley scored first when a Spartan fumble was recovered in the endzone for a touchdown. Concord fumbled the ensuing kickoff return but the Spider defense held with the help of a Justin Miller sack. The first quarter ended with Sun Valley holding a 7-0 lead. The defenses controled the first quarter but the Spartans took control of the game with a big second quarter. After a Concord fumble Spartan tailback Darius Kirtz broke loose for a 56 yard touchdown run. The Spartans picked off a Sean Willix pass on the next possession. With a short field the Spartans wasted little time scoring on a Andy Capone run. After a blocked Concord punt the Spartans scored again on a short halfback pass. On the ensuing possession Concord quarterback Jordan Havinga found Will Cowan for a 6 yard touchdown. That drive was keyed by a 65 yard pass from Havinga to Cowan. Sun Valley struck again quickly, this time a 65 yard touchdown pass from Capone to Dustin Cook. Concord added another touchdown before halftime on a short pass to Roger Smith. The Spartans went into halftime with a 35-14 lead. The Spartans added another long touchdown pass to start the 3rd quarter. After Concord turned the ball over on downs, the Spartans would score again on a 25 yard run. A bad punt snap led to a safety on the next possession putting the Spartans up 51-14.
