There was heavy rain during the warmups but it slowed during the first quarter. The Bearcats scored on their 4th offensive play behind the running of quarterback Jordan Hildreth and tailback Patrick Polk. Anson's defense forced a Concord punt and wasted little time scoring again this time on a short run. Later in the 2nd Concord's defense forced a punt but it was fumbled. Anson would drive the length of the field but the defense held and Anson kicked a short field goal. Anson scored once more before halftime on a Jordan Hildreth 27 yard touchdown run. Anson took a 24-0 lead into the half. In the 3rd quarter the Bearcats offense picked up right where they left off. Jordan Hildreth scored from 30 yards to put the bearcats up 31-0. Concord's offense would awaken on the next possession. Quarterback Jordan Havinga completed passes to each starting receiver on a drive that was capped by a 16 yard touchdown pass to Jared Nash. Anson added another touchdown to go up 38-8. At this point the somewhat light rain turned into a downpour that would last the rest of the night. Anson would begin substitutions in the 4th but Anson's backup quarterback fumbled the first exchange and the Spiders scored a few plays later on a Sean Willix keeper. On the next drive Anson fumbled again and the ball was scooped up by linebacker Zach Shue who returned it for a touchdown. With the score 38-21 in the 4th quarter Anson put their starting lineup back in and added two more touchdowns before the end of the game.
