Concord defeated Central Cabarrus 47-27 in front of a packed Homecoming crowd at Viking Stadium.

With Senior quarterbacks Sean Willix and Jordan Havinga out with injuries Concord turned to freshman B.J. Beecher
to lead the Spiders offense. However it was Central's offense that was red hot early. The Vikings jumped out to a 6-0 lead on the 2nd play from scrimmage on a 90 yard touchdown run. On the ensuing posession Concord fumbled the snap setting Central up deep in Concord territory. The Vikings scored again quickly as Quintin Gay added a 13 yard touchdown run.

After a few miscues Concord's offense settled in and began moving the ball. Concord's first score came on a short Dominique Posey run. The Vikings returned the ensuing kickoff back for a touchdown to go ahead 20-6 at the end of the first quarter.

Early in the 2nd quarter the Vikings delivered another big play, a 50 yard touchdown pass to tailback Quintin Gay to go up 27-6. The Spider's offense responded with a long drive capped by a 21 yard touchdown pass from Beecher to Jacquise Moore. The Spiders defense held and Concord's offense took advantage scoring again before halftime when Dominique Posey added his second score of the night. The Vikings took a 27-20 lead into halftime.

The Vikings dominated much of the first half, however the second half was dominated by the Spiders. Concord took the kickoff and marched down the field. Jacquise Moore added another touchdown catch from Beecher to tie the game at 27-27. After a Viking 3-and-out Concord struck again with another short Posey touchdown run to take the lead 34-27.

Concord's dominance continued in the 4th quarter. Spider cornerback Mark O'Brien picked off a tipped pass which led to Posey's 4th rushing touchdown of the night. Concord cornerback Jason Willix ended the next Viking drive with another interception. Concord's Varen Blake added the final Concord touchdown on a short run.

Freshman quarterback B.J. Beecher played extremely well in his first varsity start finishing 15-27 with two touchdowns and one interception. Seven Spider receivers caught a pass with Jacquise Moore leading the way with 5 receptions and two touchdowns. Dominique Posey rushed 16 times for 123 yards and 4 touchdowns. Varen Blake added 17 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown.

After allowing a few big plays in the first half the Spiders defense buckled down in the 2nd half. Jalen Brown led all defenders with 10 tackles.
